Road Biking Loop
Please join me Wednesday, June 8 for a little road biking. We'll take Cartwright Rd. (from the Bogus Basin end) to Dry Creek Rd. to Seaman's Gulch Rd. and then return on Hill Rd. Since this is not a hike, only some of the 10 IMR essentials are needed along with some bike-related items. Please wear a helmet. Other good items to have are a patch kit, tire irons, small pump, a front and rear bike light and a spare inner tube. Bring water and snacks, sunscreen, and depending on weather outlook, a jacket. I guesstimate the distance at about 22 miles. This is not a flat route so you should feel comfortable with going up and down hills. There are 2 significant climbs on this route.

Lake Lowell Bike Ride
Come join us on a beautiful ride around Lake Lowell. We will enjoy views of the mountains, lake, Deer Flat Wildlife Refuge, and orchards. No steep hills, but terrain is rolling. Road, mountain, and hybrid bikes all welcome. Must be able to ride 26 miles at a moderate pace of 12 - 14 mph. Need to be comfortable riding on narrow roads with little and no shoulder. We will meet in Boise at 9 am on Sunday and car pool to the starting point. With taking a couple of rests/breaks we expect the ride to take about 3 hours. We will return to Boise by approximately 2:30. Please bring snacks, water, spare tube, and helmet. When you register please let us know if you have a bike rack and are willing to drive.

Mountain Bike Shane's Loop via Eagle Ridge
We’ll meet at the NE corner of the Fort Boise Park Parking lot, take the fairly steep climb up the Eagle Ridge trail and up around Shane’s loop. We’ll take a breather and catch a great view of the city at the top. The ride should last 2 hours max, and is a great introduction to the trails of the Boise foothills. Limit of 10 riders with trail worthy bikes. Poor trail conditions may cancel this ride.
