Ski Touring and Nordic Skiing - Easy I

Cross Country ski the Goldfork loop, about 5.5 miles of groomed trail .  We'll leave town about 9:30 and should return by 5:00.  Bring a lunch, layers of clothing, water, and your classic or skate skis. 

Come enjoy the beautiful, open country with views of Snowbank Mountain to the west and the East Mountain range across the valley at the Hasbrouck Ranch Nordic Trail system outside of Cascade. Hasbrouck Ranch offers 5.2 miles of trails through rolling country with stands of aspen and pines. For those who would prefer to snowshoe, there is plenty of terrain to explore off-trail through the woods. Please bring the IMR 10 essentials, lunch, and water. Limit 12. No dogs, please.

Hi all. I just don’t have enough time on Saturday to go with the Idaho City crowd so I thought I’d go up to Bogus Basin and XC ski. We’d be back by early afternoon. Nothing demanding. But lots of fun for sure!
