Nordic Skiing at Bogus Basin under a Full Moon
Have fun x-c skiing under a full moon on Thurs., Mar. 8. Hopefully we will see a nice sunset to be followed shortly with a full moon with back up solar lights on the trails. This will be a fun week-night excursion. Plan on skiing between 1 & 2 hours on groomed trails.

Bogus: XC Ski or Short Stack Snowshoe
All right. At this point in an ostensibly La Nina year with still no snow, it's rather hard to predict when Bogus will open for XC skiing. So, will we all have dozens of miles under our skis by New Year's Eve or will we be blowing off the dust that morning? If the latter, then, yes, this will be a beginners XC ski day. If the former, well, we'll see who signs up. No dogs.
Oh, and if Bogus hasn't opened yet, our fallback position is to go up the mountain, put on snowshoes, and go a few miles toward Stack Rock in a "moderate" snowshoe day. (I call it a "Short Stack.") One dog max. Club member dog only. Eight people max.

Come ski on lit trails and enjoy live music and food in the Nordic Lodge for this Friday night monthly offering. There are several trails to ski on and depending on size of group and interest, smaller groups may break off to ski different trails or head back to the lodge.

Nordic ski (or snowshoe) at Bogus Basin
The snow is great so let's go xc ski at Bogus Basin this Friday. I'm going to xc ski (classic) but if others want to snowshoe or skate ski let me know. If there are enough people we could form a snowshoe or skate ski group. Exact trails will depend on snow conditions and grooming but the current plan is to ski the Nordic Highway, to the Flush trail, Meadow Trail, Nordic Connector and back to the lodge. These are all either Green or Blue trails and the total distance will be about 5 miles. We will meet in Boise to car pool and will leave Boise at about 1 pm.
Once I know who is interested we can decide what time we return. If people are interested in staying into the evening and doing some more skiing on the lighted trails that is an option. Contact Patrice at patricedavies1@gmail.com
