OFF TRAIL snowshoe for Friday in the Banner Ridge area. It will be about 3 to 4 miles in 2' of new snow OFF TRAIL over moderate to steep terrain so should be a class B "DIFFICULT" snowshoe. High temperature for the day is expected to be only 12 degrees F so dress in multiple warm layers. The hike will start uphill so moisture management will be of utmost importance as the return will not be as strenuous so we will not be producing as much heat. IMR 10 essentials plus water, and trail food, and snowshoes required, poles recommended. Not recommended for Dogs.
