Speaker: Jerry Finnegan.
Our own “Frog” Finnegan will present a slide series detailing the sites and adventures available when traveling on the Idaho Centennial Trail. The ICT runs from the Nevada border to American Falls near Canada, covering nearly 1,000 miles with a total elevation gain of approximately 153,000 feet through the most diversified terrain in Idaho.
From an elevation of about 2,100 feet at the Selway River to the incredible vistas at 9,200 feet overlooking the Sawtooths, from desert to rain forest-like woodland areas, the ICT is a formidable undertaking for the most experienced of outdoorsmen. Because of access issues and time restraints Frog chose the less traveled ICT West, making this adventure unlike any other. Learn how a novice backpacker managed to complete his grand undertaking.
IMR monthly meeting are a way to hear about topics of interest to Idaho outdoor enthusiasts. The meetings are usually held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month and free and open to the public (of course, we shamelessly hope you like what you see and will join the club--but we also don't pressure you!). We provide outing updates, announcements, and have a 45 minute presentation followed by discussion and/or social time so people have a chance to meet one another.
IMR holds meetings at the MK Nature Center Education Building,(next to Idaho Fish and Game), 600 South Walnut, Boise, Idaho, from 7-9pm (meetings are from September through May--in June, July, August we will have potluck picnics.
