We are still trying to reach Alice Lake this winter!  We will leave Boise early on Saturday morning and ski from ID75 past Petit Lake (the road to Petit Lake is snowmobiled) towards Alice Lake in the Sawtooth Wilderness.  There are several nice spots to camp.  Sunday we will tour in the area. Monday we ski out and return to town.   Transceivers, probe poles, climbing skins, shovel, the ability to ski with a pack, winter overnight gear, and strong intermediate ski skills are required.  Backcountry touring skis or lighter weight telemark or Rondonee gear is appropriate.  No sleds, no dogs (and no dogsleds) please.
