Every peak bagger in Idaho knows about our nine mountains above 12,000 feet in elevation (the 12ers). A number of folks have ascended them. Using a vehicle shuttle, in 2014 one team climbed each one in less than a day and a half. Last September Kelly Lance, an endurance trail runner from Pocatello, summited them all in one enormous self-propelled effort.

Kelly will give a presentation of his trek that is sure to catch the attention of outdoor enthusiasts. Whether a mountaineer, athlete, backpacker, or someone who enjoys adventures vicariously, you are sure to learn something about the power of human endurance and determination.

Time and Location: 7 pm at the Trophy Room, Idaho Fish and Game Headquarters, 600 South Walnut Street, Boise, Idaho. Park at rear of building.

IMR monthly meetings are a way to hear about topics of interest to Idaho outdoor enthusiasts. Starting in 2017, meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month and are free and open to the public. (Of course, we shamelessly hope you like what you see and will join the club--but we also don’t pressure you!) We provide outing updates, announcements, and have a 45-minute presentation followed by discussion and/or social time so people have a chance to meet one another.
