Assuming that the flow remains at a navigable level, join us on a Class 1+ river with chances of spotting deer, elk, osprey, kingfishers, and turkey buzzards. This trip is ideal for experienced canoeists, beginning whitewater kayakers and folks with inflatable kayaks that track well. It could be nippy in the morning; dress warm in layers under splash gear. The float is about 10 miles long and will take about 6 hours. Participants must be able to ferry, eddy turn, and make quick maneuvers to avoid riverbank snags and mid-channel rocks. Don't forget your bright orange hats and most colorful gear - it's hunting season. No dogs, please. It's about a 2-hour drive from Boise to the launch area, all on good roads. We'll plan to leave town no later than 7 am.
If the weather is poor on Saturday, we will do the float on Sunday October 5th.
