Call Sue for meeting place 850-3620.

We will hike the Reynolds Creek Loop as described in the Boise Trail Guide by Steve Stuebner. He describes this hike as moderate to strenuous with a distance of 7.4 miles and vertical loss/ gain of 751 feet, hiking time of 3.5 hours. Steve says the red rock canyon is spectacular. It’s about a 45 minute drive from Boise. Exploratory. I’d like to stop at Swanye’s Museum near Walter’s Ferry (http://www.ultimateidaho.com/sec3/extras/swaynesferry.html) for about a half an hour or so on the way back. Meet at 8:50 a.m. for a 9 a.m. departure. We should be back at our starting place about 4 p.m. The weather forecast for the Owyhee’s on Saturday is for partly cloudy weather with temps in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s. Bring a lunch, snacks, water and layered clothing including some kind of rain/ wind breaker just in case.
